Milk Alternative in Recipes
We all have those moments when we start baking or cooking and realize that we are missing a key ingredient. That happened to me this morning. I decided to cook Homemade Pancakes for breakfast this morning and realized I was missing milk. So I substituted with homemade rice milk. I freeze leftover rice in one cup portions for occasions such as this. And you will never taste the different.
Homemade Rice Milk
1 cup Cooked Rice
2 cups Water
Blend together in blender until the mixture becomes Rice Milk. Use as alternative to milk in recipes.
Makes 2 cups.
Tip: If some rice remains in bottom of blender, just strain out the milk before using.
